As a sentient being with a MFA Creative Writing, I can confirm the most important thing an author needs that an AI can't do: if your work provokes emotions in the reader. When people ask me if I worry about AI, I respond that my feedback as a professional and as a human being with real experiences, appreciation of art, and ability to connect with people has more weight than an AI's hollow words.
