Your site redirects to spam, Google flags it, your host suspended it, or you found files you did not put there. You need it clean, back online, and closed against the next attempt.

What I do: I take a copy of the current state for later analysis, remove the injected code and unknown files, check core, theme and plugin files against clean versions, and find out how the attacker got in (outdated plugin, weak password, leftover admin account, writable files). Then I close that door and harden the rest: updates, file permissions, admin accounts, login protection, a firewall plugin if none is there. You get a written report: what was found, what was removed, how they got in, what I changed, and what you should do next.

I ran the cleanup and hardening after a break-in on a shop I look after, and I keep it secured since.
