Hi! For almost my whole life, I've loved reading books of all kinds, and my favorite thing about it has always been delving deep into the story - analysing characters, writing lengthy reveiws and theorising about the plot. For me, beta reading started as reaching out to new authors to help them with their writing while fulfilling my own passion. This means I genuinely find myself being invested in the book I am beta reading, and put maximum effort into giving constructive feedback.
