If you're looking for a beta reader who loves the genre as much as you do, you're in the right place. I've read thousands of cozies, from Agatha Christie and M.C. Beaton to Janet Evanovich and Joanne Fluke, and I know what your readers are looking for: quirky characters they'll root for, surprising twists, and satisfying endings.
I offer honest, in-depth feedback that's kind, clear, and constructive. My detailed Beta Reader Report is professional and insight-packed, covering plot, character development, setting, tone, style, and more.
I'll highlight what's working well, like a compelling hook, natural dialogue, relatable characters, or great use of humor; and flag areas that might need a second look, such as information dumps or clues that are too obvious (or not obvious enough), with examples drawn directly from your manuscript.

How many beta reading clients do you work with at a time?
To provide every author with the undivided attention their manuscript deserves, I only accept one beta reading gig at a time. If I'm not available for booking, I'm probably working with another author on their story. Don't hesitate to message and ask about future availability!
What is your beta reading process?
I read each manuscript at least twice. In the first read, I make raw comments, note observations, and jot questions in the manuscript. Then I start my reader report outline before completing a full second read to confirm my analysis and find examples within the manuscript for your report.
Why does your beta read take so long?
I read each manuscript 2 times, take copious notes, then turn all my notes into a comprehensive reader report. I know your book is important to you and a labor of love, and I want to make sure I'm giving your manuscript the thorough read and analysis it deserves!
Can I get your raw notes/commentary instead of a reader report?
You can add the raw notes on to your order but only as an addition to the reader report. The raw notes are included in the Premium package.
If I have the Elevated (Standard) or Kitchen Sink (Premium) Package, how do I schedule my video call?
Your beta reader report will contain a link to my online scheduler; you'll have a week to schedule your call, and the scheduling confirmation will contain all necessary details. The call doesn't have to be completed within the week, but the sooner the better so your beta read is fresh in my mind!
What are your favorite cozy mystery series?
It's hard to choose! But some of my favs are Agatha Raisin (M.C. Beaton), Kat Makris (Alex A. King), Meg Langslow (Donna Andrews), Melanie Travis (Laurien Berenson), Stephanie Plum (Janet Evanovich), Coffeehouse Mysteries (Cleo Coyle), Royal Spyness and Molly Murphy (both Rhys Bowen).
Will your feedback be harsh or critical?
Never harsh, always honest. I respect how much heart and work goes into your story. My goal is to give you clear, constructive feedback that helps you strengthen what’s already working, and gently guide your attention to what might need another look.
Do you beta read other genres?
My sweet spot is cozy mystery, but if your story is light mystery, humorous whodunit, or a genre-adjacent project with a similar tone, feel free to message me! If it's not the right fit, I’ll let you know honestly.
Which tier should I choose for my manuscript?
Most cozy mystery manuscripts fall around 85–95k words, which makes the Elevated tier perfect. Streamlined is ideal for shorter stories or partial manuscripts when you just want focused feedback. Premium is best if you’re looking for the full experience: feedback, raw notes, and a full discussion.
