According to Chinese trademark law, the process of trademark application is set out below:
1. Prepare and file documents of trademark application
2. Examination by trademark authority which normally would be completed in 9 months
3. Issue preliminary examination notice which will last 3 month, a prior rights holder or a stakeholder may raise an objection during such period
4. Where no objection is raised during the gazette period, the trademark shall be registered and a trademark registration certificate shall be issued.
5. The time spending of registering a trademark is around 9 months.
