I hold a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Latvia and have specialized in intellectual property law over the 20 years. I am a certified Trademark and Design Attorney before the EUIPO. My foundational knowledge of trademarks and industrial designs was gained through examination work at the Patent Office of the Republic of Latvia. This experience allows me to anticipate and quickly eliminate the reasons for refusal of trademark registration. My experience with international markets was acquired at AS GRINDEKS. I have analyzed and registered trademarks for numerous companies, and successfully handled multiple refusals and conflicts.
