Sutra is a not-for-profit organization that focuses on the preservation of textile heritage. My project was to collect and collate data about natural dyeing techniques in heritage textiles for Sutra's annual publication. I was also responsible working with the publication designer and printer for final edits. Challenges included researching undocumented data from the 18th century, getting permission for research from various government entities, and acquiring data from various private collectors. I was able to persuade relevant authorities about the importance of sharing this data with a larger audience, and successfully met the publication deadline.
