Worked on a book formatting and layout project for an author who needed a professionally formatted manuscript prepared for both print and digital publishing. I received the completed manuscript and worked through the content carefully to create a clean, consistent interior layout while keeping the author's original content and style intact. I handled the typesetting and interior design, including page size and margins, font selection, paragraph styles, chapter headings, spacing, page numbers, headers and footers, front and back matter, and table of contents. I also reviewed the page flow and adjusted the layout where needed to avoid awkward page breaks, inconsistent spacing, widows, and orphans. For the print version, I prepared the interior file according to the required specifications for publishing platforms such as Amazon KDP and IngramSpark. I also worked on the eBook version, making sure the formatting was clean, readable, and suitable for digital devices. Throughout the project, I communicated with the client to understand their preferences, publishing requirements, trim size, and overall vision for the book. I reviewed the formatted file carefully from beginning to end, made necessary adjustments, and checked the final document for consistency and presentation before delivery. The finished manuscript was transformed into a polished, professionally structured book interior that was ready for the client's publishing process. This project strengthened my experience in book layout, typography, typesetting, print preparation, and digital book formatting while allowing me to deliver a final result that matched the author's needs.
