What is the difference between Basic and Standard?
Basic covers SSH hardening, UFW firewall, fail2ban, and Cloudflare DNS. Standard adds Cloudflare WAF, CrowdSec, rate limiting, and kernel hardening, ideal if your server is already under attack from bots.
What extra do I get with Premium over Standard?
Premium adds a 10 point security audit report, DDoS mitigation, intrusion detection, WordPress hardening, and 15 days post-delivery support — for business-critical servers needing full documentation.
What do you mean by “AI-bot attacks”?
AI-bot attacks include automated scraping, credential stuffing, brute-force attempts, abuse traffic, and intelligent bots that bypass basic firewalls. I block these using behavior-based detection at the edge and server level, not just IP blocking.
Will Cloudflare's really be enough to stop attacks?
Yes! For 90% of servers, the Free tier is highly effective when configured correctly. If your traffic requires the Pro plan, I will let you know during our order.
Do I need an existing Cloudflare account?
Yes. You must have a Cloudflare account or be willing to create one. I will configure DNS, SSL, WAF, and bot protection settings according to your selected package.
Will this affect my website or application performance?
No. Properly configured Cloudflare and server hardening usually improves performance and stability by filtering malicious traffic before it reaches your server.
What access do you need to secure my server?
I will need access to your Cloudflare account (you can add me as a member) and temporary SSH access to your Linux server (root or sudo user). I recommend changing your password after I complete the task for total security.
Do you support all Linux distributions?
I specialize in Ubuntu (20.04, 22.04, 24.04), Debian, and CentOS/AlmaLinux/ RHEL ( Red Hat ). If you are using a specialized or older distro, please message me before ordering to confirm compatibility.
Can I still access my server via SSH after you harden it?
Yes, but it will be much more secure. I typically move SSH to a custom port and set up SSH Key Authentication. This means only your specific computer can log in, making it virtually impossible for bots to brute-force your password.
Does this gig include malware removal if I'm already hacked?
No, this is a hardening and prevention gig. If your server is currently compromised with a virus or web shell, please message me first. I can offer a custom "Emergency Clean-Up" extra before we start the hardening process.
