I offer you my many years as a storyteller to help you improve your novel. I work with science fiction, fantasy, romance, thriller, and horror. My pricing starts at novels less than 60,000 words. If your novel is larger, contact me. I'm happy to work with larger novels as well. I increase the price of editing by $25 per 5,000 words after the 60,000.
The ARC Reader Fee includes a report that covers:
- Story Arc
- Characters
- Plot
- Pacing
- Depending on the circumstance, I am happy to leave reviews on book sites
The Developmental Editor Fee includes a report that covers:
- Story Arc
- Story Development
- Characters
- Dialogue
- Plot
- Pacing
- Holes in the story
Copy Editing is different. I will work with your novel in either Google Docs or Microsoft Word, and go through correcting the following:
- Spelling
- Grammar
- Punctuation
- Coherence
- Sticky words
- Weak sentences

How detailed is the ARC reader write up?
I read the story and see whether the novel works. I will study the characters and analyze their arc and development. The dialogue should fit the characters, and the story should make sense. The report will cover all the above.
What do you mean by proofreading?
I will go through your manuscript and correct the spelling and grammar. I will make suggestions for changes so you can look through them to approve.
What is a developmental edit?
In this edit, I will go through the story to pull out the structure, the characters, and the important points in the story. I will look at places where the story slows down and see ways to improve the novel. It is a more comprehensive dissection than an ARC reader.
What about an author's style?
I believe in respecting the author’s style in any kind of editing. If the writing sounds like me when it is done, then I have failed as an editor. I want to help improve your story while respecting your voice.
What is an ARC reader?
It is an advanced reader copy reader. The purpose is to get an initial opinion of the work, and if I like it, I will also review the novel on different platforms.
