I write personal essays from a Japanese elder's perspective grounded in real experience, not fiction.

With 27 years as a video editor (including documentary work) and nearly 17 years as a certified care worker in Japan, I bring both storytelling craft and lived experience to every piece. I'm the author of "Sunset Stories: Conversations at the Edge of Daylight," and I also create short animated films from my own scenarios, available in English on YouTube.

What I can write for you:

• Original essays on a theme you choose (daily habits, family, aging, memory, postwar life, elder care, etc.)
• First-person, experience-based reflections not imagined stories
• Rewrites of existing text in the voice of a Japanese elder

My English keeps the rhythm and voice of my original Japanese I don't polish it into flat, "native" English, because that voice is the point.
