What do I do?
I am passionate about product development and have expertise in both design and manufacturing. With 4 years of product development experience I am the perfect person to bring your product to life. Whether you want help getting the first design completed to help you visualize you product, or you want someone to work directly with you throughout the entire design process (concept to production), I have the tools and skills to make it happen. I run SolidWorks for all designing and have Simulation packages to conduct an assortment of Finite Element processes.
How will it work?
After an introductory meeting where I will assess your specific needs, we will sign an NDA and project agreement. Then, I will jump directly into the development of your project. I have a quick turn around (obviously depending on project complexity) where I will get the first iteration back to you within a week. After that, we will have review meetings to ensure all designs are always meet your expectations. I will allow you to be as involved in the design as you would like, so I will make sure to get your input throughout the entire design process.

I am a Mechanical Designer (getting my P.Eng. in ~1 year) and specialize in injection mold part and tool design, Finite Element Analysis (structural, thermal, plastics, and fluids), sheet metal part design, and steel structural design. I founded Steinmann Design Consulting in 2022 after a move and am actively taking on new clients. My primary objective is to build up my reputation as a consulting company. Why do I need to sign an NDA and project Agreement
We both need to have some certainty right? I want to ensure that you are serious about your project and you want to ensure that all development is yours at the end of the day. These documents are in place to give us both some protection and make sure both of us have very clear project expectations.
Can you help with production
YES! I have experience in tooling design for injection molding and sheet metal products. I have numerous contacts that will be more than happy to put your parts into production very quickly.
Does the initial design meeting cost anything?
No. The first meeting is free and a way for both you and I to assess whether we would make a good partnership for your project.
