Q1: Can you extend an existing Spring Boot backend?
Yes — extending existing backends is one of the most common requests. Share your repo in the requirements form and I'll review the architecture before starting. I adapt to your existing code style and patterns rather than forcing a rewrite.
Q2: Will you deploy the API to a server or cloud?
Deployment to AWS EC2 or RDS is available as a gig extra. The Standard and Premium packages include Docker configuration so your API is deployment-ready. Full AWS deployment (EC2, RDS, security groups) can be added for an additional fee — mention it
Q3: Is JWT authentication included in all packages?
Yes — JWT authentication is included in every package as standard. Role-based access control (RBAC) with multiple user roles is included in Standard and Premium. For OAuth2 or third-party SSO integration (Google, GitHub login), message me to confirm scope before ordering.
Q4: What database do you work with?
PostgreSQL is my primary database. MySQL and H2 are also supported. I handle schema design, Hibernate entity mapping, and Liquibase or Flyway migrations. Database integration is included in all packages as shown in the pricing table.
Q5: Do you write tests for the API?
Unit tests with JUnit and Mockito can be added to Standard and Premium packages. Integration tests using Spring Boot Test are available in Premium. If test coverage is important to you, mention it in the requirements form and I'll scope it accurately.
Q6: Will I be able to maintain and extend the code after delivery?
Yes — always. All code is structured with clean layered architecture (Controller → Service → Repository), fully documented, and delivered with a README explaining the project structure and how to extend it. You'll be able to onboard any Java developer to the codebase without my involvement.
