As a DevOps Engineer, I manage cloud infrastructure, automate application deployments, and support reliable releases. My role involves working with development and testing teams to improve delivery speed, troubleshoot issues, and maintain stable environments. Cloud Infrastructure: Provision and maintain AWS resources, including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, load balancers, and Auto Scaling groups. Configure networking, access controls, monitoring, and backups to support application availability. CI/CD Automation: Build and maintain Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD pipelines for code checkout, compilation, testing, artifact publishing, Docker image creation, and deployment. Troubleshoot pipeline failures and reduce repetitive manual tasks. Containers and Kubernetes: Create Docker images and deploy applications on Kubernetes and Amazon EKS. Manage Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and Ingress. Configure health probes, resource requests and limits, scaling, rolling updates, and rollbacks. Infrastructure as Code: Use Terraform to provision repeatable infrastructure and Ansible to automate server configuration, software installation, and patching. Maintain configuration changes in Git for review and version control. Security and Quality: Integrate SonarQube quality checks and Trivy image scanning into delivery pipelines. Store build artifacts in Nexus and prevent releases from progressing when required quality or security checks fail. Monitoring and Support: Monitor infrastructure and applications using CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana. Investigate alerts, review logs, troubleshoot Linux and deployment issues, and document root causes and corrective actions. Collaboration: Maintain deployment documentation and operational runbooks. Coordinate releases with teams, automate routine tasks using Bash and Python, and identify opportunities to improve reliability, resource usage, and deployment consistency.
