Yes, I always work in accordance with Swiss OR, Swiss GAAP FER, GAAP, or IFRS.
What information is required to perform a bookkeeping job?
I need access to your accounting system (if it already exists), bank, credit card & loan statements along with all sales and purchase data in the right format (PDF, Excel, CSV). Requirements vary from client to client depending upon the nature and workflow of the business.
How do you categorize expenses and income without knowing my workflow and business?
I use bank/credit card statements description for analyzing the nature of the transaction. Most are self-explanatory. However, if needed I will summarize my questions for you and then ask you my questions all at once to avoid taking up much of your time.
Why do you ask for access to the accounting software before order placement?
I make sure that client’s books are ready for the work the client is asking for. If I find discrepancies in the books which need to be rectified before I start my job, I point those out to the client. If the client agrees to rectify them, I will move forward.
My Bank/Credit Card account is connected to QuickBooks. Then why you need statements in PDF format?
Even if your Bank/Credit Card is connected to QBO, I will need the statements for cross-checking transactions, reconciliation and adjusting PayPal/Stripe fees appropriately.
Are you available for monthly and long term projects?
