I will edit the first pages of your story within 48 hours

This service is ideal if you are sending your first pages to be read by a literary agent or submitting to a competition, and have limited time.

With years of experience of giving and receiving feedback and critiques, including an undergraduate and MA Creative Writing, I will give the feedback with sensitivity. Always focused on you as the writer, the only goal is your satisfaction with your own writing.

The feedback will include:

• The Hook - Are there enough compelling questions raised in you opening to make the reader continue in order to have them answered?
• Character - do they seem real on the page. Have you given us enough characterisation? Have you written too much backstory and slowed the pace?
• Worldbuilding - real world or fictional second world, have you made it feel like a believable location weaving in information without large blocks of description that also slow the pace.
• Line edits and proofreading.
• Optional second critique after changes have been made.
