Dawn and I purchased what was a very small 1 person food manufacturing business (single-serve meals) in 2009. It started as a hobby project as the kids had left home. It grew organically and we sold post covid in November 2021, at which point it employed 15 people and had grown to a production count of over 2200 meals made and delivered each week. It was thoroughly enjoyable and taught us everything we now know about running a commercial food business that manufactured (by hand), stored, marketed and home-delivered a range of pre-made single-serve meals.
