Sobre este Serviço
Hello
Is your manuscript structurally sound or is it hiding a story problem that will sink your reviews?
Before you spend money on line editing or proofreading, your manuscript needs a developmental editor. I provide structural editing and manuscript critique that identifies the core issues holding your book back, plot holes, pacing problems, weak character arcs, inconsistent voice, and structural gaps that make readers put your book down.
I don't just mark up your manuscript. I deliver a comprehensive editorial assessment that shows you exactly what needs fixing and how to fix it so your next draft is significantly stronger.
What You Get:
- In-depth Manuscript Critique Detailed analysis of plot structure, character development, pacing, tone consistency, point-of-view execution, and narrative arc
- Structural Editing Notes Chapter-by-chapter breakdown identifying what's working
- Editorial Summary Report A written overview of strengths, weaknesses, and strategic next steps
Why Work With Me?
Fixing structure at this stage saves you hundreds of dollars in later rounds because you're not polishing prose in a broken narrative.

Perguntas frequentes
What's the difference between developmental editing and copyediting?
Developmental editing (what I offer) fixes the big-picture structure: plot, character arcs, pacing, and narrative logic. Copyediting fixes sentences, grammar, and style. Always do developmental editing first.
Do you edit nonfiction manuscripts too?
Yes. I provide manuscript critique and structural editing for memoir, narrative nonfiction, self-help, business books, and creative nonfiction.
Will you rewrite my manuscript?
No. I provide editorial assessment and revision guidance so you can rewrite with confidence. This preserves your author voice while professionalizing the structure.
How do I know if my manuscript is ready for a developmental editor?
If you've completed a full draft and you're either stuck on revisions or getting feedback that something "isn't working" but you can't identify what you're ready.
Can you help me prepare for traditional publishing or self-publishing?
Yes. My critique includes market positioning notes relevant to your publishing path, whether you're querying agents or releasing independently.
