Developed and deployed a Health Sector Capacity Planning Tool for the Public Health Department, Government of Qatar to support predictive, data driven healthcare planning. The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the critical need for proactive forecasting of healthcare resources, demonstrating how shortages in beds, workforce, and essential services can strain even the most advanced health systems. The platform utilizes historical utilization data, epidemiological trends, and global benchmarks to forecast demand for beds, human resources, and healthcare services. Through advanced scenario modelling, demand forecasting, and capacity gap analysis, decision makers can simulate future conditions such as disease outbreaks, demographic shifts, and changing service utilization patterns to assess their impact on system capacity. The solution includes interactive executive dashboards providing real-time visibility into utilization trends, system performance, and projected demand. Facility level forecasting enables healthcare administrators to anticipate resource requirements and optimize service delivery, while hotspot and risk identification tools support targeted interventions and evidence based resource allocation. Featuring automated reporting, data validation mechanisms, and customizable dashboards, the system promotes accuracy, transparency, and informed decision-making across all levels of the health sector.
