Working directly with small and mid sized ecommerce brands to design, build, and maintain their Shopify stores, taking projects from initial discovery calls through to launch and post launch support. Responsibilities include auditing existing stores for usability and speed issues, customizing Shopify 2.0 themes with custom Liquid sections, integrating third party apps for subscriptions, reviews, and email marketing, and configuring checkout, shipping, and payment settings to match each client's operational needs. A significant part of the role involves translating a client's brand identity into a functional, mobile friendly storefront, often working from existing brand guidelines, product photography, and a rough sitemap rather than a finished design file. Clients have ranged from single founder startups launching their first store to established brands migrating away from other platforms. Managing the full client relationship independently, including scoping projects, setting timelines, communicating progress, and handling revisions, has required strong organizational habits and clear written communication, particularly when working across different time zones.
