UK Native - German to English Technical Translator
Due to my experience and native English, I am uniquely positioned to ensure that the technical context of a German to English translation is maintained with exemplary readable English. Non-technical is of course also possible.
I have a Master’s degree in 'Mechanical Engineering with German' from the University of Sheffield, which included a Study Year Abroad at the Technische Universität Dresden, Germany.
I have 3.5 years professional experience as a Project Engineer at a major automotive OEM (Jaguar Land Rover), working with a German-based supplier (ZF) to develop automatic transmission hardware. As a student, I completed short work placements at Civil Engineering companies in Osnabrück and Zürich.
My Translation experience includes adhoc work in my position at Jaguar Land Rover, a wide variety while a member of the TU Dresden Formula Student team (technical documents, newsletters, website), plus regular translation in German classes and exams throughout school and university.
