I am a mixing engineer with over 25 years of experience of mixing alternative rock, space rock, progressive rock, shoegaze rock, metal, and the like. I started mixing when I was 14, using a Tascam 4-Track tape machine. I worked in several studios across the US, including Orbit Audio in Seattle. I recorded A Violent Purple's prog album A Series of Images there. I have learned many tricks to masterful mixing and mastering along the way from some really great engineers.
I am available for both mixing and mastering. If you only want one or the other, just let me know. I mix in a studio with a treated and calibrated room and use a subwoofer. As a result I am able to get very accurate mixes and low end.
My favorite mixers are Joe Baressi, Butch Big, Rich Costey, and Ken Andrews. My favorite bands are Tool, Failure, and The Mars Volta. Hopefully this tells you a bit about what I listen to.
