My experience combines additive manufacturing with practical product and component design, helping develop ideas into functional, manufacturable parts. I have experience in CAD modelling and design development, Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM), prototyping, material and process selection, tolerances and clearances, wall-thickness optimisation, lightweighting and improving component geometry for manufacture. I work across SLA, FDM, SLS, DLP and metal additive manufacturing, giving me a strong understanding of how CAD decisions affect real-world production, accuracy, strength, surface finish and cost. I can take a concept, sketch, dimensions or existing design and help develop it into a practical CAD model ready for prototyping and additive manufacturing.
