Here's a topic that's usually treated very dryly in academic journals -- the evolution of the ancient Persian Gulf from a desert traversed by one primary river to a flooded area due to sea level rise before silt deposition brought the gulf back to its present state. Now it's a vivid piece of visual storytelling. Very satisfied with the result.

Ever wanted to see the whole cast of characters from the La Brea tar pits? Mastodons, smilodons, dire wolves, oh my! They're all here, and based on real skeletal remains found at the site, bringing history to life, and enhancing dry academic understanding with a visceral punch!

This was very challenging because every single detail was important and difficult to execute. Not one element could be off or otherwise the whole geological narrative would have been incorrect. But he stuck with me through every correction request and we have a triumph as a result.

This was a highly technical assignment. Anybody can spit out a photo of a boat with oars paddling down a river, but it's not so easy when the sail yards need to be in the proper place, the rigging handled appropriately, the oar loops positioned correctly, the dock properly modeled. And on and on and on. This isn't just eye candy. It's visual education.
