Crescent Petroleum I serve as Senior Manager – Projects, Cost Control & Strategic Planning. The role combines FP&A, controllership and business development across multiple jurisdictions. Strategy and growth: I evaluate business development and acquisition opportunities across the Middle East and Africa, preparing investment appraisals and advising senior management on capital allocation, risk and returns. FP&A and cost control: I direct annual budgeting, cost control, variance analysis and management reporting, and have delivered USD 10 million in identified savings. I actively lead FP&A for the Sharjah Onshore Concession and the Northern Iraq blocks, covering cost projections, budgets and variance analysis that support exploration and development activity. Joint venture and entity oversight: I lead financial oversight of Joint Venture, Branch Office and Head Office operations across jurisdictions, ensuring consistent governance, reporting and controls. Controllership and compliance: I serve as Controller for CPC Inc, UAE, covering VAT compliance, and own accounts finalisation, statutory audit, VAT and Corporate Tax compliance for CP-UK. Digital transformation: As a core member of the enterprise SAP transformation team, I contributed to the FICO, Joint Venture Accounting (JVA), Human Capital Management (HCM) and SuccessFactors modules, strengthening automation and data quality. Finance operations: I oversee payroll and corporate finance operations and provide strategic financial counsel to senior management on growth and operational optimisation. Across these responsibilities, I bring 35+ years of Oil & Gas and Energy finance experience, combining board-level judgement with hands-on delivery, and I apply AI-enabled analytics and forecasting to improve planning accuracy and decision support.
