Sobre mim
Some call it a gift. Others call it obsession. I just call it Wednesday.
I’m Christian Melcott - motion designer and character animator who literally dreamed about this as a kid. My parents invested early, I studied it, got certified, worked at a design agency and never looked back.
My mastery is animation in all its forms - Rive interactive characters, Lottie, 2D/3D design, VTuber rigs, motion graphics and more. If it moves on a screen, I have built it.
My clients range from AI startup founders to major platform designers. The work speaks for itself.
You are in the right place.

As Senior Motion Designer at PixelWave Creative Studio, I led a team in developing high-quality motion graphics, Lottie animations, character animations, and explainer videos for clients across tech, education, and marketing sectors. I specialized in creating lightweight, web-optimized animations using After Effects, Lottie, and Rive, collaborating closely with UI/UX designers and developers to deliver interactive and engaging user experiences. My role included project management, mentoring junior animators, and ensuring every animation met strict brand and style guidelines. My work contributed to increased client engagement and elevated digital branding.

Overall, I’m very happy with the animation and the quality of the movement. There was a little room for clearer communication around my expectations for smoother transitions, but this was a minor part of an otherwise positive experience. I appreciate the effort put into the project and would be happy to work together again.

Chris was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. When my first round of feedback called for a different direction, he took it gracefully, understood exactly what I needed, and delivered a clean, minimal rework where the UIs look incredibly true to the source. He stayed patient and communicative...
