I partnered with a high-volume restaurant client to drive local foot traffic and increase in-store sales through highly targeted Google Ads campaigns. Their primary goal was to maximize "store visit" conversions and turn online searches into real-world customers. The main challenge was effectively scaling a large ad budget while maintaining a profitable cost-per-acquisition and ensuring ads reached high-intent diners in the specific local radius. To achieve this, I implemented a comprehensive local strategy. I utilized precise geo-targeting around the restaurant locations, optimized ad scheduling to capture audiences during peak dining decision-making hours, and leveraged localized extensions (location and call extensions) to dominate local search results and Google Maps. Over this 3-month period, I successfully managed an ad spend of $184,700, focusing heavily on continuous optimization. The results were explosive: Generated 32.9 million impressions, maximizing brand awareness. Drove 387,504 high-intent clicks (an increase of over 106,800). Secured 144,399 conversions (primarily store visits and direct actions), representing a massive increase of 56,358 conversions compared to the previous period. By carefully tracking physical store visits as our primary KPI, I successfully scaled their campaigns to significantly boost foot traffic and directly increase their bottom-line sales.
