When Peloton’s marketing team began scaling their email channel, they faced a familiar challenge in fast-growing DTC brands: increasing subscriber numbers but inconsistent engagement and conversion performance. Despite strong campaigns and a loyal community, the team needed clearer insights into what messaging, timing, and subject lines actually drove member action. I joined the team to support their email marketing operations and quickly became involved in campaign execution and performance analysis. I coordinated creative assets for large product launch campaigns, ensuring email creatives, CTAs, and messaging aligned with Peloton’s brand voice and high-energy positioning. I also reviewed and proofed copy for motivational workout reminder emails designed to keep members engaged with the platform. One of the key areas I contributed to was A/B testing optimization. I analyzed subject line tests across multiple campaigns, compiling performance insights into clear internal reports that helped the team identify winning patterns. Through these insights, the team refined their messaging strategy, contributing to improved open rates by over 18% across tested campaigns. Additionally, I helped streamline how campaign results were documented and shared, transforming raw performance data into easy-to-understand presentations that informed future marketing decisions. This allowed the team to move faster and test more aggressively while maintaining a strong data-driven approach. Working with Peloton provided deep exposure to high-volume DTC email marketing, where every campaign needed to motivate action, reinforce community, and drive engagement at scale. It was a valuable experience in combining creative storytelling with performance-focused marketing strategies that deliver measurable results.
