Project 1: Title: Partner Information Exchange (PIX) Client: BMW, Germany Duration: 2019 to 2021 Environment: C++, Linux, Python Description: • PIX is a BMW-application for batch-controlled, encrypted transmission of data in the intranet or via the Internet between the central BMW systems, the BMW Trade Organization and other partners such as suppliers, agencies, etc., and is used worldwide. • The application uses the Client-/Server-Technology, consisting of the central component PIX / S (PIX-server) and star-form connected to it the PIX / C (PIX-client) installations. • The exchange of data to the central systems follows by means of NFS shares (PIX-project interface), the specific components PIX / H (PIX-host) or PIX / CD (PIX-C: D-Gateway) serve the distributing of the data via other communication software (SCP, Connect: Direct). Roles & Responsibilities: • Helping the Team members to analyzing the source code. • Handling weekly status meetings with BMW client • Monitoring the enhancements of source code developed by team Project 2: Title: Claim Assessment and Enquiry System with Automatic Checking and Flexible Rules (CAESAR) Client: BMW, Germany Duration: 2010 to 2018 Environment: C++, Linux, Python Description: Claims are checked by fixed checks and flexible rules. Claims are compared against limits determined by the system. Limits are generated and maintained by Warranty Experts. CAESAR makes the decision about the claim in more than 80% automatically. Claims that could not be decided by the system must be processed by a Warranty Expert manually. Claims that are decided are ready to be paid or they are rejected. Claims that are not decided and must be corrected by the claimant Roles & Responsibilities: • Analyzing the source code in the process of solving issues reported from the Users. • Debugging source code for the replication of issues. • Enhancements of source code when requested from the client.
