I clean and check small Excel and CSV files using Python and Pandas: duplicates, blank cells, dates, phone numbers and number formats. I also convert text-based, single-layout PDF tables into a checked Excel file. Every job comes with an exceptions list showing the rows I could not fix safely and why. I never guess unclear values.
