Game Engine Developer

May 2023 - Present3 yrs 3 mos

I have been working on a specialized Game Engine called "Tome" since 2023, and I'm nearing the end of the project. Meanwhile, I've been taking professional and university-grade courses to further develop my skills on educational platforms such as EDx and MIT OpenCourseWare. During this period, I've built significant experience in many sub-fields of programming, especially: - Game Engine development through frameworks such as LOVE2D, Raylib and SDL - Game and Game Engine design & architecture - Advanced programming paradigms and techniques such as OO, ECS and functional programming - Advanced I/O pipeline development - Advanced Game Design analysis and targeting

Game Developer

Feb 2016 - May 20237 yrs 3 mos

I've worked on several indie titles both solo and in small teams, gaining significant experience covering dynamic roles in even more dynamic environments. I have artistic education and decent visual communication skills, but my roles were always code and design centered, leading me to grow very strong in Game Design and specialize in Game Development, especially thanks to an ongoing self-education in Computer Science through educational platforms such as EDx and MIT OCW. Of the games I've developed, the most relevant are: - "Sweets of Steel", which was developed on Unity in a small team and kickstarted in 2016 - "The Chasm: Mines of Madness", developed in solo on Unreal Engine 4 and currently available on Steam since January of 2019
