Yes. Every month I reconcile the trust bank statement, the trust account in QuickBooks and the total of all client ledgers, and deliver the three way reconciliation report your state bar expects.
How do you record client retainers in QuickBooks?
I record retainers in the trust account as a liability to each client, never as income. When you earn the fee and bill it, I record the transfer to operating against the invoice it pays.
Do you work with Clio, MyCase or LawPay?
Yes. I match Clio and MyCase invoices and payments to QuickBooks Online and split LawPay deposits between trust and operating, so your practice software and your books show the same numbers.
How do you track advanced client costs?
I record filing fees, courier and expert costs paid for a client in an advanced client costs account by client and matter, so every cost is billed back and none is lost as an expense.
Can you rebuild client ledgers for my trust account?
Yes. I go through every trust deposit and payment, rebuild the ledger for each client and matter, and list any difference so you can settle it before the next three way reconciliation.

You invite me as an accountant user in QuickBooks Online, so no password is shared. Client names and matters stay inside your books, and I sign an NDA whenever your firm asks for one.
