CAM simulation and verification to identify collisions, gouges, over-travel and machining issues before production. Optimisation of existing CAM programs to reduce cycle times and improve tool life and component quality. Experience developing machining strategies based on the actual capabilities and limitations of the CNC machine. CAD modelling and modification using SolidWorks and other CAD systems. Experience working from 3D CAD models, 2D engineering drawings, customer specifications and existing CNC programs. Experience with post-processing and machine-specific CNC programming.
