Most of his edits were either trivial (eg, changes of the type of dash) or erroneous (eg, changed my meaning). What's more, whereas he averaged about one right column change every 2 pages of the first 2/3 of the book, there were absolutely zero in the last 1/3, which suggested to me that he backed off.

When I tell you Kevin did an exceptional job on my book. I handed him a very unpolished document, with no editing or format check and he turned it around and made it presentable. I also received the finished product earlier than expected. Always a pleasure working with Kevin, and will continue to do so if he is available.
