I am an embedded software test engineer in Japan and a native Japanese speaker. My work is verification: testing against a fixed specification and recording evidence someone else can re-check.
Japanese localization and app QA: not "the Japanese seems off", but the screen, the string, what is wrong, and what it should say.
Excel and CSV: every input row is accounted for as kept, removed, or waiting on your decision. If that does not balance, I do not deliver.
