Contributed to the evaluation of the energy, bioclimatic, and techno-economic performance of second-generation BIPV technologies (CdTe & Si) in the Cubo de Innovación pilot building in Manizales, Colombia. ✅ Optimized low-power ESP32 firmware for a BIPV monitoring device, reducing energy consumption by approximately 80% through intelligent sleep cycles and efficient SD card data storage. ✅ Implemented an FTP server on multiple monitoring devices to enable wireless data management and extraction. ✅ Assembled PCB prototypes and developed embedded firmware to acquire and store irradiance and temperature data from solar modules. ✅ Applied Python-based data analytics to clean, process, and visualize bioclimatic and energy consumption datasets, identifying performance trends and actionable insights. ✅ Built analytical pipelines to compare multi-variable datasets (temperature, humidity, illuminance, etc.), supporting decision-making for BIPV system optimization. ✅ Developed methodologies aligned with international standards such as ASHRAE 55 and ISO 7730 to calculate the PMV index, integrating black globe thermometry into the monitoring system for more accurate MRT assessment.
