Sitting on her bed in her room, a 12-year-old girl told herself that she was going to write the best story in the world. One that everyone would want to read. That first story was awful. And it's hidden away somewhere where no one will ever read it. Or so I hope. Fifteen drafts, six stories, and fourteen poetry collections later, that girl (who is no longer a girl) is still trying to write a book that makes a difference and help others do the same.
