I'm Jamie, a published poet, writer, and aspiring author with a deep passion for storytelling. I'm here to offer you thoughtful, constructive feedback on your manuscript, helping you refine your story before it reaches its final form.
What I Offer:
Honest & Constructive Critique: I'll provide a thorough evaluation of your short fiction, focusing on first impressions on plot, pacing, character, and overall readability. My goal is to help you strengthen your story while maintaining YOUR unique voice.
Genre Expertise: I prefer certain genres (YA/adult romance, sci-fi/fantasy/paranormal) but I'm open to exploring any genre.
Detailed Analysis: Using in-line comments, I'll highlight strengths and suggest areas for improvement based on my reader perspective. From plot twists to character arcs and everything in between, I will provide a thorough reader report with notes that you can come back to again and again as you perfect your work.

Do you accept manuscripts over 80k words?
Yes! If you have a longer manuscript, you can adjust the word count and the price will update accordingly. Please keep in mind that delivery time may be affected with longer works.
Which genres do you accept/prefer?
As someone who studied creative writing, I am very open-minded. I am most comfortable with in YA/adult romance or rom-com, as well as supernatural/paranormal romance/fantasy, BUT I am happy to help writers in other genres. I am not adverse to erotica. If you have any questions, please reach out.
What does your reader report include?
For long fiction pieces, I will include my overall impressions on plot, dialogue, pacing, character arcs, worldbuilding and overall readability. I will review all of the elements that I feel were done well, and mention any elements that need clarification, cause confusion, etc.
Do you provide in-line comments?
Yes! Depending on the length of your work, my comments may be extensive, BUT I think it's important to have feedback in "real time," just as the reader would. Whether it's enthusiasm over your work or points of confusion, it's good to know exactly where and why that reaction happens.
What format do you prefer to receive documents?
There is some ease of use with Microsoft Word and "Track Changes" but Google Docs is a common format now-a-days. If you prefer Google, please refrain from "peeking" at your document until my comments and reader report are complete. It could be overwhelming to see those updates without context.
I have specific questions/concerns I'd like to address with a beta reader, so I have my own report I'd like to use. Is a reader report required?
No! If you have your own document, I am happy to complete that in lieu of a reader report. My goal is that you get great feedback on your work, in whichever format you prefer.
Can you sign a NDA for my manuscript?
Of course! I am more than happy to do so. That being said, confidentiality is of the upmost importance.
Do you offer rush delivery?
At this time, I do not. I think it's important to give my best to each manuscript so that you get the feedback you need as a writer. I also give longer than anticipated delivery times in my pricing chart so I can give the proper attention to each project.
