I'm Helgi, Head of Integrations at SpareBank 1 Factoring in Ålesund, Norway, and I've done freelance backend work since 2020. Mostly .NET, Postgres and the infrastructure to run it. At home I run my own Proxmox node with Docker, Traefik, ZFS and a fair pile of self-hosted services, so servers are something I do for fun as well as for work.

Integration and .NET work in the Norwegian financial sector. A lot of it is taking older systems apart and rebuilding them as code that's tested and easier to change, alongside new services in C# where the old ones don't fit anymore.
