Senior Facilities Engineer

Jan 2023 - Present3 yrs 7 mos

While in this job i worked on large project to improve the facilities , working on project that involve building extensions and/or improvements, better waste flow throughout site, accessibility to all employees ensuring site meets DDA (Developmental Disabilities Administration) specification. I have always enjoyed projects to chance areas and improve people’s ways of working, such as Office refurbishments, wellness area, manufacturing operations changes Est. Most recently I have taken on a project in my old role (Plant Facilities Layout Engineer) which was Linkblock Refurbishment, I was given the task of upgrading the sites “Link Block” this project is to refurbish a wellness area on site allowing for better wellness facilities for staff. The project is to strip out the internals of the existing locations and fully update all areas including the following: Male and Female locker rooms, shower rooms and WC’s, updated accessible toilet facilities, new Occupational Health area, nursing mothers’ room, wellness room, vending area, and some privacy booths for employees to use for phone calls etc. My involvement is Project Lead at site assisting the facilities manager who is running this project, organizing site/design meetings, and assisting with any issues or re-designs.

Advance manufacturing Technician

Jul 2016 - Present10 yrs 1 mo

This particular role exposed me to a multitude of engineering projects expanding my knowledge of CAD, maintenance issues and technical problem solving. Within this department i worked for I was a member of a team that designed, commissioned, and installed a groundbreaking test facility that has set the global corporate standards for testing of high horsepower generator sets, now duplicated within our Chinese and Indian Manufacturing Plants.

Plant Facilities Layout Engineer

May 2019 - Dec 20223 yrs 7 mos

Within this role my responsibility includes managing, updating and correctly storing all site drawings, ensuring they meet the highest corporate standards. The role requires me to work within multiple cross functional sites, including a manufacturing site, a brand-new state of the art logistics centre and various logistic centres within the surrounding area. Recently I have managed the relocation and refurbishment of the Manufacturing Plant Support Centre which is home to over 150 active employees, including leadership and directors. Due to sensitive data and information stored in the area, this project required GDPR management, correct waste streams and continual budget analysis along with high quality communication for all those effected by the move to ensure good customer satisfaction while relocating. Working within a fast paced ever changing environment, Cummins Daventry’s Manufacturing Site requested the setting up of onsite Covid-19 Lateral Flow testing facility, to ensure the plant runs to full capacity throughout the pandemic. This was a fantastic opportunity to apply my design, implementation, communication and ever adapting skillset to ensure the project was completed within a short time period. The project required me to modify an existing locker room to create a safe and hygienic laboratory with the ability to test up to 400 employees a day. Whilst modifying an existing facility it required infrastructure changes to the current walls, ceilings, walkways and the installation of the new laboratory and testing booths. Completing such a project required continual plant communication through the use of emails and weekly presentations updating directors and leadership teams.
