During my role as a Application Development Intern, I worked on building DevStore, a fully functional e-commerce mobile application developed using Flutter. My responsibility spanned the complete app lifecycle — from initial architecture decisions to final polish — rather than just isolated tasks, which gave me hands-on experience with real-world app development challenges. I implemented the core authentication system using an AuthProvider paired with SharedPreferences, handling user registration, credential verification, auto-login on app launch, and logout functionality. This meant designing a session-check flow that automatically routes users to either the login/signup screens or straight into the product catalog, depending on their authentication state. For the product experience, I integrated the Fake Store API through a dedicated ProductProvider, enabling live product data fetching, real-time keyword search, and category-based filtering — all updating smoothly without page reloads or noticeable lag. I also built out the cart and checkout logic using a CartProvider, managing item additions, quantity adjustments, running total calculations, and a final itemized receipt popup at checkout — essentially the full purchase flow a real e-commerce app would need. On the UI side, I designed and implemented a custom dark-themed interface (black background, grey cards, green accents) using flexible Flutter layouts such as GridView, ListView, and SingleChildScrollView, ensuring the app adapted properly across different screen sizes and orientations. This internship strengthened my understanding of state management patterns in Flutter, API integration, and building apps that function as complete, coherent products rather than disconnected screens — skills I now bring directly to client projects.
