When I need to change the nameservers?
I will ask you to change the nameservers or A record (in case we ONLY need to point the website to the new hosting so the domain emails won't get affected) when the testing is successfully completed.
Is it possible to transfer the domain/ website without losing email?
Yes, that is absolutely feasible. In this case, we will need to update the A records and not the nameservers. Don't get worried! I will handle it. You do not have to do anything.
Can I work on the website while you are migrating the website?
No, please STOP all the work on the website for at least 12 hours as the domain/ A records take several hours to get propagated.
