Muhammad Faraz
Sobre este Serviço
- Is your Ruby on Rails app stuck on an old version, breaking in production, or just slow to change?
I'm a full-stack engineer who works in Rails and React every day. I take existing Rails applications - the messy, real, four-years-old kind - and get them upgraded, fixed and moving again. Then, if you want it, I add the modern parts: a React or Next.js front end, or an AI feature that actually fits your product.
What I handle:
- Ruby and Rails version upgrades, with the test suite green
- Bugs, N+1 queries, slow endpoints, failing background jobs
- Dependency and security updates
- REST and GraphQL APIs, PostgreSQL work
- React / Next.js front ends on a Rails backend
- AI features built into your existing app, not bolted beside it
Background: I build SaaS products for a living - a recruitment platform and a compliance SaaS, both Rails + PostgreSQL + GraphQL + Next.js. Complex workflows, authentication, background jobs. Not tutorial projects.
Message me with your Rails version and what's hurting, and I'll tell you honestly if I can help before you order.

Hi, I'm Faraz - a full-stack engineer. I build products, and I fix the ones already running.
Day to day: React, Next.js, React Native, Node, Ruby on Rails, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
Recent work: an AI copilot for a sales team that turns source documents into finished decks; a mobile-data reseller platform live in production with wallet accounting, API-key auth, payments and provider failover; a recruitment platform and a compliance SaaS.
I'm comfortable in someone else's codebase, messy ones included. Tell me what's broken or what you need built and I'll say if I'm the right fit.

Perguntas frequentes
Can you work on a really old Rails app?
Usually yes. I have worked on apps several major versions behind. Send me your Ruby and Rails version and I will tell you honestly whether it is a clean upgrade or a bigger job, before you order.
Do I have to give you production access?
No. A repository and a staging environment are enough for almost everything. I would rather you did not hand production credentials to anyone on a marketplace.
Can you add AI to my Rails app?
Yes, and I will push back if it does not belong there. The useful version is usually a specific feature - search over your own data, drafting, classification, automating a manual step - not a chatbot in the corner.
Do you use AI tools to write the code?
I use an AI-assisted workflow to move faster, and I review, test and take responsibility for everything I deliver. You are hiring the engineer, not the tool.
What if the upgrade breaks something?
That is what the test suite and staging are for. If something I changed breaks, I fix it. That is covered by the order, not an extra charge.
Can you keep working on the app after this order?
Yes. Most of this work turns into ongoing maintenance. We can arrange that once you have seen the first delivery and know the quality is what you want.
