During my professional tenure at iCare Billing, I worked in different areas: - Implemented a process for responding to medical records requests and additional information requests from payers in a timely and efficient manner. - Reviewed claims for accuracy and completeness, collecting and verifying all documentation necessary for timely billing of patient accounts, including requesting and collecting medical records and other documents, ensuring the acceptance of the claim. - Worked on all reports related to billing, such as worklists, late charges, hold reports, and rejection reports to ensure claims are submitted timely and accurately, per department guidelines. - Ensured that all prior authorizations are current, followed up 90 days out on those due to expire. - Served as the point of contact for sales and service representatives on updates to orders, patient communication, and account issues. - Reviewed unpaid accounts, initiated correct actions to collect the accounts, and followed up on actions to ensure expected results were achieved. - Remained current with core knowledge of CMS guidelines, specific payer policies, contracts, and administrative bulletins. - Demonstrated support for the mission, values, and goals of the organization through behaviors that are consistent with our company.
