Lead and manage the estimating team, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely completion of all estimates. Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to develop comprehensive cost estimates. Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs, material pricing, labor analysis, and cost summaries for bids and proposals. Assign estimating tasks to team members, monitor progress, and provide technical guidance and mentorship. Review and validate estimates prepared by junior estimators for completeness, accuracy, and risk. Develop and maintain estimating standards, templates, workflows, and best practices. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, vendors, and subcontractors during the bidding process. Analyze project risks, value-engineering options, and cost-saving opportunities. Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and ensure scope compliance. Prepare bid clarifications, assumptions, exclusions, and tender documentation. Support contract negotiations and handover of awarded projects to the project execution team. Maintain historical cost data, pricing databases, and benchmarking information. Ensure compliance with company policies, project specifications, and applicable codes and regulations. Participate in post-bid reviews and lessons-learned meetings to improve future estimates. Report estimating performance, workload status, and bid outcomes to senior management.
