I developed the brand name “Growinner” for a Norway-based client who was building a performance training app for athletes. The name is crafted from three core elements—“Grow,” “Win,” and “Inner”—reflecting the app’s mission to help athletes strengthen both their physical abilities and inner mindset. The goal was to create a name that communicates growth, competitive excellence, and inner resilience in a single, memorable identity. To develop this brand name, I conducted conceptual exploration, analyzed naming trends in the fitness and sports-tech industry, and ensured that the name remained unique, motivational, and easy to pronounce across global markets. I also considered psychological impact and brand semantics, creating a name that feels energetic, aspirational, and aligned with modern digital products. The final deliverable included the brand name, naming rationale, tagline suggestions, and tone-of-voice recommendations to support the app’s long-term brand identity. This project demonstrates my ability to combine strategic thinking, linguistic creativity, and market relevance to produce a strong and motivating brand name for the competitive sports technology sector.

Create Name for a boutique surf hotel

I created the brand name for a boutique surf hotel located in the Mentawai Islands, Indonesia. The client—based in the United States—requested a name that captured the essence of premium surf culture, tropical serenity, and the adventurous spirit of Mentawai’s world-class waves. My goal was to craft a name that felt authentic, memorable, and emotionally resonant for international surf travelers. To achieve this, I conducted cultural and linguistic research, analyzed the competitive landscape of surf resorts, and identified naming patterns that appeal to surfers seeking both comfort and exploration. I ensured the name conveyed exclusivity while still reflecting the natural beauty and local character of Mentawai. The final deliverable included a distinctive brand name, a clear naming rationale, tagline concepts, and a concise brand narrative to support the hotel's positioning in the global surf tourism market. This project highlights my ability to merge creativity, strategic branding, and cultural sensitivity to deliver a compelling identity tailored to an international audience.
