Image assessment: Examine photographs to identify imperfections, colour issues, exposure problems and areas requiring enhancement. Skin retouching: Remove temporary blemishes, pimples, spots and distractions while preserving natural skin texture. Frequency separation: Separate colour and tonal variations from texture when appropriate for detailed skin refinement. Dodge and burn: Refine highlights and shadows to enhance facial structure, depth, dimension and skin transitions. Colour correction: Correct white balance, skin tones, colour casts and inconsistencies in the image. Colour grading: Apply a deliberate visual style that supports the photographer's or client's creative direction. Body and clothing refinement: Make requested, appropriate adjustments to wrinkles, fabric, fit and distracting details while preserving realism. Background cleanup: Remove unwanted objects, marks, uneven areas and other distractions. Image compositing and manipulation: Combine visual elements, replace backgrounds or create advanced composites when required. Detail enhancement: Refine eyes, hair, lips, teeth, jewellery and other important details without creating an artificial appearance. Exposure and tonal refinement: Balance brightness, contrast, highlights, shadows and overall tonal depth. Consistency across images: Maintain uniform skin tones, colours, lighting appearance and editing style throughout a series. Non-destructive editing: Use adjustment layers, masks and organised workflows to preserve flexibility and image quality. Quality control: Check for editing artefacts, halos, unnatural skin, colour banding, distorted details and other defects. Export and delivery: Prepare images in the correct dimensions, resolution, colour profile and file format for print or digital use. File management: Keep original files, layered working files and final exports organised and securely backed up.
