I am Nihat Emir from Turkey, a third-year Electrical and Electronics Engineering student at Ege University. I work on spectrum visualizing systems in the Magneto-Optics Lab. Previously an avionics member, I am now team leader of the Ege Aerospace Model Rocket Team. I have hands-on experience with Michelson interferometers and fiber-optic displacement measurement systems. TÜBİTAK 2247 - Research Assistant Super Spiral Polymer Actuator Technology Development of User-Specific Robotic Systems Development of Original Robotic Systems Using Super-Helical Polymer Actuator Technology Key Responsibilities & Achievements: Advanced Optical Metrology: Designed and implemented a Michelson Interferometer system for nanometric displacement measurement. Utilized a 543nm coherent laser source to detect sub-wavelength positional changes in an 8-10 mm linear motion range with high-precision phase shift analysis. Fiber Optic Sensing: Developed a reflective displacement measurement system using fiber optic cables. Calibrated the system to detect micro-scale movements based on reflected light intensity variations, specifically for robotic actuator validation. Real-time Data Acquisition (DAQ): Established high-speed analog signal acquisition workflows using LabJack DAQ hardware. Integrated photodetectors to capture real-time voltage variations corresponding to physical displacement. System Integration & Software: Developed custom MATLAB scripts for live data visualization, fringe pattern analysis, and automated displacement calculation. Experimental Validation: Conducted precision measurements to validate the performance of Super-Helical Polymer Actuators, bridging the gap between advanced material science and robotic control systems. Technical Stack: Hardware: Michelson Interferometer, Coherent Laser (543nm), Fiber Optic Sensors, LabJack DAQ, Photodetectors. Software: MATLAB (Signal Processing & Visualization).
