Whether you're new to game development or just looking to improve your skills, these lessons will provide you with a strong platform for developing the skills you need to succeed.
These lessons are each a 2 hour one-on-one live session with an instructor, available over screen share services like Teams, Skype, or Discord. You'll do exercises, watch examples, and have homework. If you're serious about learning, this is the course for you.
What you'll learn:
Intro:
- Working with the Unity game engine
- Choosing and using an IDE
- How to work with assets
- C# where to start
Standard:
- Design principles
- Development best practices
- C# beginner to intermediate (may take several lessons)
- Physics, lighting, and scene settings

Do I need the advanced course?
If you're not sure, the answer is probably no, but it never hurts to ask! The advanced course is designed for things that are too complicated to teach in a typical course, like networking, procedural generation, and nested state machines. Usually a standard lesson should come first.
What do I need to come prepared with to the lesson?
For the intro course you'll need to install Unity and a screen share software (Teams, Skype, Discord). Make sure to come with more than 2 hours to spare. Sometimes the lessons run 10 or so minutes long. For standard lessons, please have your IDE installed and ready.
What languages are these lessons available in?
The instructor is only fluent in English. Because of the complicated topics, it's requested that students be fluent in English also. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Homework?!
The course offers a tailored experience so that every student can learn what they came to learn. Some students may get take home assignments and can request to skip these. This is an attempt at keeping the lessons affordable
