Design, develop and validate hydraulic systems and actuators (including cylinders, power packs and rotary/helical actuators) from concept through production release. Work across prototyping, simulation, supplier selection, testing and documentation to deliver robust, manufacturable products that meet customer specs and industry standards. Key responsibilities: Lead concept and detailed design of hydraulic cylinders, power packs and actuators (CAD models, drawings, BOMs). Canara Hydraulics Create hydraulic schematics, system layouts and interface definitions for OEM/custom applications. Perform sizing & performance calculations (force, flow, pressure, fatigue, bearing/seal life), FEA and dynamic simulation. Select components: valves, pumps, motors, seals, fittings — produce costed BOMs and supplier evaluation. Prototype coordination: support shop floor, oversee assembly, run bench tests (endurance, pressure, leakage, cycle). Develop and run validation protocols: test plans, instrumentation, data capture and failure analysis. Produce and maintain technical documentation: drawings, test reports, installation guides, NDT/test certificates. Work with Production/QA to ensure designs are manufacturable and comply with QC standards. Support sales/engineering on technical queries, custom quotes and customer visits. Continuous improvement: reduce cost, weight, improve durability and ease of installation.
